Over the years\, The Machine has touched the hearts and souls of many\, selling out theaters\, large clubs and casinos across North and Central America\, Europe and Asia. They have also appeared at renowned music festivals such as Bonnaroo\, Riverbend\, Gathering of the Vibes\, Buffalo's Artpark\, and Germany’s Rock of Ages.\n\nThe New York based band focuses on making every show an authentic Floydian experience for their fans. Known for performing a diverse mix of The Floyd’s extensive 16-album repertoire (complete with faithful renditions of popular hits as well as obscure gems)\, The Machine’s stellar musicianship\, dramatic lighting and video\, and their passionate delivery sets them above and beyond the rest.\n\nIn the classic tradition\, The Machine explores collective improvisation paralleling and even rivaling that of an early 1970’s Pink Floyd mentality. Their use of expanded theatrical elements and elaborate stage displays continues in the spirit of the later Floyd lineups of the 1980’s. The band is also known for recreating entire albums as a part of their show\, accepting requests from fans\, and for taking an A to Z approach in which one song is played for every letter of the alphabet. Additionally\, the quartet has been sharing the stage with full symphony orchestras\, including the Atlanta\, Detroit\, Pittsburgh and San Diego Symphonies.\n\nIn 2004\, Two Nights at the Keswick was released as a DVD/CD\, archiving the band’s bi-annual residency at this historic Philadelphia venue. Their next release\, Unplugged (2006) captures a special acoustic performance at B.B. King’s in NYC featuring rare Syd Barrett solo material and deep cuts from early Floyd albums. Live In Amsterdam\, a stunning concert DVD filmed at the Pepsi Stage\, was released in August of 2008.\n\nBand:\n\nJoe Pascarell - Lead guitar/Lead Vocals\nScott Chasolen - Keys/Vocals\nRyan Ball - Bass/Vocals\nTahrah Cohen - Drums\n\nVisit The Machine online at:\nFacebook\nTwitter\nInstagram\n\n“The Machine duplicates the sound and hits of Pink Floyd with chilling accuracy.”\n- Matt Diehl\, Rolling Stone Magazine\n\n“The Machine sounds exactly like Pink Floyd”\n- Matthew Weber\, Spin Magazine\n\n“You know you’ve got it going on when you sell out B.B. Their will\, courage\, and sacrifice can bring out the best in the world around\nthem.\nFittingly\, on their fifth full-length album\, The Last Hero\, hard rock juggernaut Alter Bridge pursue a level of\nexcellence inspired by timeless heroism. Making the record became something of a personal quest for\nthe quartet—Myles Kennedy [vocals\, guitar]\, Mark Tremonti [guitar\, vocals]\, Brian Marshall [bass]\, and\nScott Phillips [drums]. In 2013\, the band reached an elevated creative and critical milestone with Fortress.\nIt bowed at #12 on the Billboard Top 200\, moving over 30\,000 copies first-week and earning unanimous\ntastemaker praise. The record garnered perfect scores from Total Guitar and KERRANG! as well as\nacclaim from Billboard\, The Guardian\, Loudwire\, Ultimate Guitar\, and many more. In between sold out\ntours in Europe and North America\, the guys appeared on VH1 and graced the cover of Classic Rock\nMagazine who labeled Fortress\, “The best thing they’ve ever done\,” while Eddie Trunk called it\, “A top 10\nalbum of the last 10 years.” When it came time to write new music\, the musicians collectively raised the\nbar yet again.\n“Every time we do a record\, my only goal is for people to simply think it’s better than the previous one\,”\ndeclares Mark. “We pushed ourselves so hard last time\, and we knew were going to push ourselves\nmuch harder here. When we brought material in\, it had to outdo Fortress.”\n“We always strive for that\,” agrees Myles. “While recognizing where we’ve come from\, we wanted to\nexpand what Alter Bridge is. This record is definitely an exploration of the hero theme—whether it be the\nlack of heroes\, the need for heroes\, or a tribute to heroes. There’s a story in there.”\nMyles wrapped up touring with Slash\, and Mark finished up a successful run supporting his second solo\nalbum Cauterize in late 2015. By January 2016\, the four members congregated back in Orlando with\nlongtime producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette [Slash\, Trivium]. Over the next four months\, they diligently\nassembled and tracked the 13 songs comprising The Last Hero.\n“Because we have very finite windows of time to put these records together\, it’s nonstop when we\nregroup\,” explains Myles. “Each writer is very involved.”\n“We’d work all day in the studio\, and Myles and I would go back to my house and come up with ideas all\nnight\,” recalls Mark. “We set up camp in my kids’ playroom with a Garage Band system to prepare for the\nnext day. It was intense.”\nConstantly progressing\, the boys decided to employ some fresh techniques\, utilize more alternate tunings\nand even recorded on a seven-string guitar for the first time.\n“We don’t want to put out the same thing over and over again\,” Tremonti continues. “We want to keep\neveryone guessing. There are three new tunings\, and that helped keep us inspired. I’d never recorded on\na seven-string until now. This is the first record where Myles planned out his solos beforehand. In the\npast\, he would wing it with this magical\, improvisational touch. What he did is amazing. Me and Slash\nhave both said he’s the best guitar player in our bands.”\n“We weren’t afraid to travel certain roads we might’ve been hesitant to venture down on the last two\nalbums\,” adds Myles. “As a result\, some of the songs are more uplifting and melodic. There was certainly\na psychological shift. We embraced the past. You hear elements of each record throughout our history.”\nThe Last Hero opens with the urgent\, untamed\, and undeniable “Show Me A Leader.” Following an\nintricate clean intro\, the song gallops into a rapturous chant punctuated by fierce and fiery seven-string\nshredding. It’s a clarion call for the next phase of Alter Bridge.\n“Lyrically\, it definitely reflects the frustration a lot of people are feeling with the current state of the world\,”\nadmits Myles. “The world is looking for trustworthy effective leadership and not this undignified dog and\npony show that’s really made a mockery of our system.”\n“It’s indicative of our process\,” Mark goes on. “Myles had this guitar intro that I loved\, and I had the\nchorus. We put them together. The words call out for a proper leader.”\n“My Champion” climbs from a swell of delay into an impressive guitar lick before Myles delivers one of the\nmost spirited choruses of their career to date. “The lyric was actually inspired by thinking back to my\nsituation as a kid\,” he remembers. “I was this really small\, underdeveloped kid who had to work extremely\nhard to keep up with all of my peers. It was very frustrating. I would hear a lot of words of encouragement\nfrom parents\, coaches\, or teachers though. A lot of those things were stored away\, and they manifested\nthemselves in this song. I’ve been able to apply some of those concepts in my life a thousand times over\nsince then.”\nThen\, there’s “Poison in Your Veins\,” which channels an airy refrain through a whirlwind of guitar Sturm\nund Drang. “This song showcases the inner dialogue in one’s head; serving as reminder to live life\ncourageously\, take chances\, and ultimately believe in yourself. It’s not a new theme for us\, but definitely\none that can never be overstated\," explains Myles.\nTremonti adds: “We wanted to make it as musically interesting as possible\, while preserving a hook.”\n“Losing Patience” tempers a bombastic drum groove with an ominous and poignant proclamation\, while\nthe ballad “You Will Be Remembered” evinces another side of the sound. “It’s a tribute to heroes like\nanybody who’s served the country or community\,” Myles remarks. “The song touches on the ultimate\nsacrifice soldiers\, police\, and firemen are willing to give.”\nNearing seven minutes\, the title track and finale ebbs and flows between hypnotic heaviness and an\ninstrumental elegance that’s cinematic in scope. “That’s probably my favorite track\,” he states. “Whether\nit’s today\, 100 years ago\, or 1\,000 years ago\, being a human on this planet is never easy. We’re going\nthrough a lot. The need for heroes\, positive influences\, and good leadership is obvious\, but we definitely\nneed it right now.”\n“Fans love the epic side of Alter Bridge\,” Mark says. “We tried to stretch the boundaries again. The\narrangement isn’t typical at all. It’s an important moment for the record.”\nUltimately\, Alter Bridge heroically deliver for fans worldwide and rock music at large.\n“It’s good to be back in the Alter Bridge battle\,” Myles leaves off. “Every time we do a record\, I’m\nreminded of how great it is to have this passionate and loyal audience. We don’t take it lightly. We\nconsider it an honor that people let us into their lives that way.” URL:http://www.rapidstheatre.com/event/alter-bridge-the-last-hero-tour/ LOCATION:1711 Main Street\, Niagara Falls\, NY\, 14305\, United States CATEGORIES:upcoming events ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:http://www.rapidstheatre.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/AlterBridge_2017_Social.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC+0:20170211T200000 DTEND;TZID=UTC+0:20170211T200000 DTSTAMP:20161224T171230 CREATED:20161214T145101Z LAST-MODIFIED:20161214T161722Z UID:1277-1486843200-1486843200@www.rapidstheatre.com SUMMARY:SKILLET: Unleashed Tour 2017 with special guests Sick Puppies and Devour The Day DESCRIPTION:[button open_new_tab="true" color="accent-color" hover_text_color_override="#fff" size="large" url="https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/1397732?utm_medium=bks" text="BUY TICKETS NOW!" color_override=""]\nAll Ages Event. ANYONE UNDER 16 WITH ADULT 18+\n\nLeigh Kakaty – Lead Vocals\n\nNick Fuelling – Lead Guitar\n\nDavey Grahs – Rhythm Guitar\, Backing Vocals\n\nMatt DiRito – Bass\, Backing Vocals\n\nHayley Cramer – Drums\n\n\n\nEven as the music business was dismantled and reconfigured\, large chain stores shuttered\, cable TV abandoned music videos as a format\, radio playlists tightened\, and thick-headedly bubblegum anthems celebrated\, hard rock music has actually thrived\, increasing in size and championed by an elite vanguard of ambitious bands.\n\n\n\nPOP EVIL smashes through the odds like a battering ram\, weathering the trials and tribulations of paying dues with a steadfast resilience owing much to their blue collar and middle class backgrounds\, and building a worldwide audience one fan at a time. As the moniker promises when emblazoned on a CD or radio dial\, POP EVIL conjures aggressive riffs and hard charging sing-a-longs with emotional heft and melodic power in equal measure. It’s music by the people\, for the people.\n\n\n\nThere’s a reason Billboard named POP EVIL the #4 Mainstream Rock Artist of 2014\, and it’s not just because of those three(!) consecutive #1 Rock Radio Singles from the last album (and a fourth that cracked the Top 10)\, the Top 10 Independent debut and Top 40 Billboard 200 debut of ONYX\, or that album’s subsequent 180\,000 in domestic sales. All of which being undoubtedly rare feats to accomplish as independant artists in any genre of music.\n\n\n\nSimply put\, POP EVIL is a larger-than-life true rock n’ roll band blending the earnestness of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden with the celebratory showmanship of Motley Crue and KISS\, capable of empathizing with the daily struggles of their fans while simultaneously offering the escapism a truly bombastic concert provides. It’s an attitude and a way of life POP EVIL has put proudly on display on tour with Godsmack (as part of Rockstar Uproar)\, Five Finger Death Punch\, Three Doors Down\, Papa Roach\, Stone Sour\, Three Days Grace\, Theory Of A Deadman\, Black Stone Cherry and more.\n\n\n\nPurposefully assembled at Studio Litho and London Bridge Studios with producer Adam Kasper (Pearl Jam\, Soundgarden\, Foo Fighters)\, UP is the sound of a rock band cementing a powerful identity that’s steadily materialized over the course of three prior full-length slabs. The inspirational soon to be live staple “Footsteps\,” the swaggering “Take It All” – POP EVIL prove their burgeoning success is no accident.\n\n\n\n“There were many more highs than lows in the wake of ONYX\,” summarizes band frontman LEIGH KAKATY. “The only real low was that it was hard to be gone from our families for another year. But the highs were amazing. We experienced our first #1 record with ‘Trenches\,’ followed by ‘Deal with the Devil\,’ and then again with ‘Torn to Pieces\,’ which was a song about my father\, who passed in 2011. Having that song go to #1 was a nice tribute to my pops\, and closure for my personal journey.”\n\n\n\n“Then came ‘Beautiful.’ Having four singles at radio from any album these days is a huge honor itself. We were just grateful. It humbled us\,” he says. “We tasted the fruits from all of the previous years\, from when we felt like nobody was listening.”\n\n\n\nAfter a self-released record and EP kicked up a buzz\, the first proper POP EVIL album\, Lipstick on the Mirror found its way to listeners via a major label re-release\, despite the business trouble that resulted in Pop Evil tearing up their major label contract on stage\, in what Spin Magazine called one of the Ten Best Moments of Rock on the Range. The band’s pristine follow-up\, War of Angels\, brought Pop Evil to a worldwide audience\, driven by the strength of radio ready tracks “Last Man Standing\,” “Monster You Made\,” and the Mick Mars collaboration\, “Boss’s Daughter.”\n\n\n\nProduced by Johnny K (Disturbed\, 3 Doors Down\, Megadeth)\, ONYX represented a bold new creative achievement\, and provided several career milestones\, including a triumphant return to Rock On The Range where the band played “Trenches” with Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels as 13 U.S. Marines (showcasing the Lima Company Eyes of Freedom Memorial) stood behind them.\n\n\n\n“People ask me all the time\, ‘What it's like to hear your song on the radio?’ It never gets old!” Kakaty declares. “It's a reminder of hard work\, and of having that dream sitting in your garage\, trying to write a song that someone would love one day. That dream happened for our band and it's something that we don't want to take lightly.”\n\n\n\n“Now it's time to step up our game and let people know we can back it all up\,” he adds. “We want to prove we aren’t a one hit wonder. We didn’t just get lucky.”\n\n\n\nUP is a bold reintroduction and step forward\, with guitarists NICK FUELLING and DAVEY GRAHS\, bassist MATT DIRITO\, drummer HAYLEY CRAMER and Kakaty at the top of their game. It’s always a bit cliché\, not to mention questionable\, when a band says their new album is the best one yet. But in the case of POP EVIL\, it’s an absolute fact.\n\n\n\n“When I listen rock radio today\, I think\, ‘Where’s the fun?’” Kakaty explains. “Where’s that release that gets people away from their everyday stress? The more we toured on ONYX\, we realized we wanted more of that element in our set. ‘Some songs have a lot of discipline\, anger and angst to it\, which is one side of the band. It’s do or die. Other songs deal with temptations\, or loss. ONYX came from a dark place\, so with this album\, UP\, we wanted to remind ourselves to have fun\, too. That attitude has led to a rebirth\, a growth we haven’t seen before. We’re excited about it.”\n\n\n\nPOP EVIL sees each of their records as a time capsule\, a testament to who they were and where they were at in their lives when they made it. Having conquered Rock Radio with three consecutive number one singles on the last album\, the question became\, “Where to from here?” They’ve been careful not to repeat themselves. The band constantly pushes forward\, evolves\, experiments and adapts\, while staying true to their core.\n\n\n\nIt’s with this attitude that POP EVIL succeeded in building a lasting bond with their fans. It’s the type of environment created by the groups who listeners treat like family\, and the bands celebrate the same way in return. Fans bring bands into their lives\, they make the songs a part of them. Music doesn’t belong solely to the songwriters who create it. It’s a shared experience\, a community possession\, the moment it’s unleashed across the airwaves and strikes a chord with someone else.\n\n\n\nIt’s why powerhouse sports teams like the Anaheim Ducks\, New Jersey Devils\, Boston Bruins\, and the band’s very own Detroit Red Wings\, Tigers and Michigan Wolverines bang their anthems over the loudspeakers. POP EVIL’s music brings people together\, energizing listeners with power; on the radio\, on ESPN\, FOX\, ABC\, and anywhere.\n\n\n\nPOP EVIL won’t criticize the wide variety of tools at the disposal of artists these days\, finding nothing inherently wrong with programming\, loops\, samples\, or studio enhancements. Nevertheless\, POP EVIL champions the special magic found when a rock n’ roll band strips it back down to drums\, bass\, guitars and a microphone. “One of my greatest accomplishments in life was learning how to play that guitar\,” says Kakaty. “At first\, it’s intimidating. You don’t even want to touch that thing! But once you learn\, anytime you walk by one\, you’re like\, ‘Give me that damn thing.’ It’s a gift.”\n\n\n\nThat spirit\, that motivation\, that nearly indescribable feeling that unites people across cultural\, economic\, religious\, and all other divides – it’s Zeppelin. It’s Sabbath. It’s Aerosmith. It’s James Brown. It’s Woodstock. It’s transcendent purity.\n\n\n\nIt’s POP EVIL.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n URL:http://www.rapidstheatre.com/event/pop-evil-rock-n-roll-now-tour-right-now/ LOCATION:1711 Main Street\, Niagara Falls\, NY\, 14305\, United States CATEGORIES:upcoming events ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:http://www.rapidstheatre.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/pop-evil-1-1200x628.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC+0:20170311T190000 DTEND;TZID=UTC+0:20170311T190000 DTSTAMP:20161224T171231 CREATED:20161114T150517Z LAST-MODIFIED:20161114T175202Z UID:1261-1489258800-1489258800@www.rapidstheatre.com SUMMARY:LOUIS THE CHILD DESCRIPTION:[button open_new_tab="true" color="accent-color" hover_text_color_override="#fff" size="large" url="https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/1382998?utm_medium=bks" text="BUY TICKETS NOW!" color_override=""]\n\nALL AGES SHOW. Their power-packed performance of Michael Jackson’s expansive catalog has ignited crowds on every continent and can only be described as a jaw-dropping\, musical must-see. As the longest-running Michael Jackson tribute band\, and the only one to predate his untimely passing\, Who’s Bad has awed even the skeptics\, selling out nearly 50 venues in the United Kingdom including London’s O2 in December of 2010\, the venue where the King of Pop was slated to end his career with a 50-show “This Is It” concert series. Beyond this unparalleled achievement\, Who’s Bad has checked some of the world’s most famous pavilions off their ‘to-do’ list\, selling out their first tour of China with stops at Ningbo’s Grand Theatre and Hunan Grand Theatre in Chengsha. Never neglecting Michael’s U.S. fans\, Who’s Bad has packed The House of Blues in Houston\, Dallas\, and New Orleans; rocked DC’s 930 Club and returned to their native Chapel Hill\, NC boasting larger\, more eagerly-awaited performances with every romp around the globe. Sold-out shows from Colorado’s Bluebird Theatre and LA’s Gibson Amphitheatre and Romania’s Sala Palatalui to Teatro do Bourbon Country (Porto Alegre\, Brazil) tell the story: no corner of the earth is safe from this infectious party production.\n\nWho’s Bad has earned its name by paying studious attention to Michael Jackson’s every original groove and gravity-defying dance move\, boasting over 100 years of professional experience and a team of dancers with resumes that include Broadway productions such as Phantom of the Opera. Vamsi Tadepalli (Who’s Bad founder\, composer\, and saxophonist) assembled a cast of North Carolina’s premiere musicians and\, from Who’s Bad’s inception\, believed in the band’s boundless possibilities. The velvety vocals and pinpoint choreography of frontmen Joseph Bell and Taalib York’s combined with the six-piece band’s synchronized dance routines\, blaring horns and down-deep rhythms\, results in a performance delivered with soul and precision superseded by no one but the King himself. They’ve shared stages with the Queen of Soul\, Aretha Franklin\, The Backstreet Boys\, The Four Tops\, Boys II Men\, and hip hop superstar\, Pitbull. Captivated fans include LIVENATION’s Anthony Nicolaidis who calls Who’s Bad\, “the real deal\,” and Michael Jackson’s longtime friend and manager Frank DiLeo who proclaimed after Who’s Bad show in Nashville\, TN\, “the show was great….Michael would have been proud!”\n\nWhether you idolized the Jackson 5\, fell in love to Human Nature\, or learned to moonwalk to Billie Jean\, Who’s Bad is THE ULTIMATE music-and-dance driven Michael Jackson homage. This band of professionals relentlessly elevate the legacy of pop music’s King\, always pushing themselves to be more precise\, to raise the level of excitement and awe\, while embodying Michael Jackson’s mission to bring people together of all races\, genders\, and cultures through music. As the curtain opens on a Who’s Bad performance\, every MJ fan feels the adrenaline\, screams at the sight of that unmistakable silhouette\, and succumbs to a surefire Michael Jackson sing-along. The energy is purely magnetic\, the musicianship is first-rate\, the dance moves deftly inspired. Who’s Bad is a tribute befitting a King and their high-octane execution of MJ’s music and dance has catapulted them to the exclusive rank of Ultimate!
