2007-
Fran played to audiences too numerous to count, preparing for the world wide performances to take place in the 2008 tour.
2006-
Fran Cosmo recorded and released "Alien" under the Frontiers Records Label.
2004-
Fran Cosmo's band concept began following the Boston tour of 2004, With Fran and Anthony Cosmo teaming up for what ultimately became the 2006 world wide release of the record "Alien" under the Frontiers record label.
1991-
Tom Scholz, the mastermind behind the band Boston, after creating 3 successful albums, was ready to begin recording release number four - "Walk On." Boston vocalist Brad Delp was busy with his side project RTZ. So when the call from Tom Scholz came, Fran took the next step in his musical evolution and accepted the invitation to become the new lead vocalist for Boston (Walk On). What followed was Brad Delp rejoining Boston, with both Fran and Brad singing side by side, sharing vocal duties on two Boston albums and international LIVE tours. Fran sang on Boston's "Corporate America" album and helped produce three of the songs on that same album. Fran was also featured on Boston's "Greatest Hits" album. All of this has allowed Fran Cosmo to bring his vocal talents to millions world wide.
1984-
A young rock vocalist named Fran Cosmo joined forces with Barry Goudreau, guitarist for a group which became one of the cornerstones of the American "classic rock" genre - Boston. Not only was this a major evolutionary step in the rock-n-roll career of Fran, but also the formation of a musical wormhole, extending toward the future. Orion the Hunter, as the new group would name themselves, produced their self titled album and hit single "So You Ran" (written by Fran Cosmo and Barry Goudreau). The song became an instant AOR radio hit & popular video on the then fledgling MTV, Friday Night Videos and various other music video programs.
Shortly thereafter Fran's band was invited on a US tour with the critically acclaimed band Aerosmith for the "Back in the Saddle" Tour.
* It should also be noted that in between Orion The Hunter and Boston, guitarist Michael Schenker saw Fran on MTV and on tour with Orion the Hunter, he then contacted Fran to write new material with the intentions of forming a new group with Fran as the lead vocalist. Unfortunately, due to other obligations, this line up disbanded after approximately seven months.
The latest from Gary Cherone (Extreme, Van Halen) who has teamed up with his brother Mark to write his most succinct record to date. The self-titled, HURTSMILE is a raw sonic sucker punch in the face! From the opening buzz saw riff of “Just War Theory” to the epic finale of ”Slave” and “Beyond The Garden/Kicking Against the Goads”, Gary continues to push and poke you in the ear with his lyrically provocative themes.
In Riverview, Michigan Derek received his first guitar for his eleventh birthday. Allowed to practice in his basement, he played and learned everything he could from all the rock and roll idols of the era. He started his own neighborhood band, played for all the high school dances and perfected his craft.
In 1974, Ted Nugent first became aware of Derek's band, "Scott", as he opened for an Amboy Dukes show at the Lincoln Park Theater. The Amboy Dukes had already recorded several albums and were a staple of the Midwest rock scene at the time. When the Amboy Dukes broke up, Nugent's road manager (Phil Nicholson) contacted St. Holmes about auditioning for Nugent's project. Nugent was looking for a lead singer to give his band the sound that would catapult him to stardom.
St. Holmes was hired and the band of Ted Nugent with Derek St. Holmes, former Amboy Dukes bassist Rob Grange and Cliff Davies, later changed to be known as The Ted Nugent Band was launched and started immediately on an extensive U.S. tour. Traveling and performing nearly 300 days a year, they played with other popular bands, such as Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, Van Halen and Black Sabbath among other greats. In 1975, at only 22 years of age, St. Holmes found himself traveling the world and playing to sold out audiences in U.S. and European cities. He remained in Nugent's band until 1978.
